Dominic's New Job
Milestone’s Art Market opened its doors in June. Since then, it has not only been selling products made by Milestone Artists. It’s also been providing unique opportunities for retail vocational training. One consumer who works at the Art Market wanted the chance to talk about this opportunity.
“My name is Dominic and I want to tell you about my new job. I am 59 years old and for the first time in my life I have a job that is doing something more than shredding paper. In my new job at the Art Market, I get to learn how to put artwork on t-shirts, talk to customers and show people what a good worker I am!
We sell arts and crafts items made by my friends at Milestone and we print great artwork on t-shirts, tote bags and aprons. Working the t-shirt printing machine is my favorite part of the job! I have printed the artwork of Milestone artists, logos from local businesses, and artwork from people who live in my neighborhood.
