Joy of Giving a Big Success

On a brisk December morning volunteers gathered at our Webb Building to distribute the gifts obtained through the Joy of Giving program.  Family after family came in to find gifts waiting for their children.  Tears of happiness, laughter, and smiles of joy filled the building.  Two days later a similar scene played out in our Autumn Bridge Program as adult program participants received “Secret Santa” gifts through the Joy of Giving program.  Not only did folks awake to find presents this year, but they also received the two greatest gifts of all:  Hope and Love.

Thanks to you and your generous donations, the Joy of Giving program had its greatest year!  We were able to provide gifts to 84 children and 8 adults.  One family had just been robbed and the few gifts they had under the tree had been stolen.  Because of the gifts you donated, their seven children awoke to find presents under the tree.

Milestone would like to thank each person who donated a gift, money, or their time.  You are the true embodiment of the holiday spirit.  Your donations made a significant positive impact on the families and individuals who were served through the Joy of Giving program.
